Transforming Learning Needs into Superskills

Special educational needs should not always necessitate a formal label for educators to address. In this workshop, I will focus on ADHD and its associated learning difficulties, as it is often misdiagnosed or misunderstood due to the diverse nature of symptoms associated with it. It can also go undetected in high-achieving students, yet it may lead to lifelong challenges. During this session, I aim to uncover some of the prominent symptoms that can be observed in our classrooms, along with practical techniques to support students, whether they have received a formal diagnosis or not. The main takeaway is that teachers will be equipped to identify students' needs in their classrooms and develop efficient, supportive, and time-effective strategies that benefit all learners. These techniques will contribute to the creation of an inclusive classroom environment that caters to both neurodivergent and neurotypical students, harnessing the unique skills of each individual.
