QRTA Receives Delegation from Hadhramout Establishment for Human Development

Amman, August 2022: On 2 August, 2022, a delegation from Hadhramout Establishment for Human Development (HEHD) in Yemen visited Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA), where they explored the latter’s teacher training experience and programs and discussed joint cooperation in the areas of teacher training, education and capacity building.

The delegation comprised HEHD Chairman of the Board of Trustees Eng. Abdullah Bugshan, Member of the Board of Trustees Dr. Walid Bahamdan and Executive Director Eng. Tariq Balkhshar. During the visit, the delegation met with QRTA program beneficiaries - teachers, school leaders, and counselors - who discussed the experiences, success stories and impact of QRTA training on their school environments.

 

HEHD was established in 2006 with headquarters in Al Mukalla and a scope of work spanning the Hadhramaut Governorate and other Yemeni governorates within the region of Hadhramaut. HEHD fulfills its activities as a national, charitable, civilian, development and social organization whose objectives stem from the concept that human resources are the most important inputs to economic development within society. HEHD supports the educational process by delivering capacity-building and skill refinement programs; identifying suitable opportunities for continuous education; and equipping professionals with knowledge, experience, technical skills and modern techniques that lead to productivity, benevolence, morality and creativity - thereby contributing to holistic development. HEHD draws on its firm belief that human development is the sole path to recovering Hadhramaut, with a focus on human life in general and creators and diligent hard workers in specific.
