QRTA - Arabic Program - As part of the ongoing collaboration between the Queen Rania Teacher Academy and the Al Ittihad Private School in Dubai, the academy concluded a series of workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of Arabic language teachers. These workshops were organized in Jumeira and Al Mamzar branches in Dubai- UAE during December 2023. The training focused on topics such as 'Teaching the Art of Opinion Essay Writing, 'Crafting Personal Narratives from the Initial Idea to the Final Story,' and 'Differentiation in Teaching Arabic Language”.
The objectives of the training included clarifying the concept of differentiated instruction within the context of Arabic-language subjects and planning to teach Arabic language skills using a unique curriculum. The workshops aimed to enhance teachers' skills in essay writing strategies. This enhancement would enable students to master the rules of essay writing, particularly the opinion essay, grounded in evidence. This focus encompassed both objective and personal essays. Additionally, the workshops sought to develop teachers' abilities in crafting personal narratives, thereby fostering an environment where students could immerse themselves in the realm of creative writing.
These training workshops are designed to empower teachers in various schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain, following a series of quality training sessions held since 2022. We look forward to meeting these teachers soon on a new professional journey in 2024.
