Excerpts from the workshop "Communication Skills (Listening and Speaking" within the Arabic Language program

QRTA - Queen Rania Teacher Academy conducted a workshop on Communication Skills (Listening and Speaking) as part of the training workshops for the Arabic Language network in the Bani Kenanah Directorate, in collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Education and with the support of the Canadian government.

The workshop aims to introduce participants to the basic concepts and terminology in communication skills (listening and speaking) and the important modern global strategies that contribute to enhancing these skills among teachers.

The goal is for teachers to become skilled listeners and persuasive speakers, enabling them to transfer these models to their students in the classroom to develop their skills, making them adept listeners and proficient speakers within and outside the school.

This is achieved through the application of interactive strategies and activities that align with the curriculum requirements and the communication needs through available digital platforms in our world today. This ensures that students acquire 21st-century communication skills, as the need to build communication skills among students has become urgent and essential for academic and professional success.
