Location

The TTPELT is a general training program that focuses on building pedagogical skills for English language teachers whose teaching experience ranges from one to five years. During the 10 weeks period, the participants build knowledge and skills in key areas, such as planning, assessment, functional language, resources, and language skills. 

This program is offered through a partnership between the QRTA & British Council (Jordan)

OBJECTIVES

 

  • Help the participants be more effective by understanding their learners and tweaking their pedagogies accordingly.  

 

  • Build pedagogical skills for English language teachers whose teaching experience ranges from one to five years.  

 

  • Build knowledge and skills for English language teachers in key areas, such as planning, assessment, functional language, resources, and language skills.

  • Assessment. 
  • Functional language. 
  • Resources. 
  • Language skills. 

 

TARGETED AUDIENCE

In-service English language teachers with a teaching experience from 1 – 5 years. 

 

DURATION

48  credit hours delivered over 10 weeks.

 

DELIVERY APPROACH

  • The course is delivered by course tutors from the QRTA & BC.  

There are two course tutors for each cohort.  

All course tutors are internationally certified e-moderators with strong experience of teaching English.  

 

  • The course participants can join regardless the grades, and program they teach or the years of experience they have.  
  • The course participants can join from a wide experience of teaching English, either they are EFL and/or ESL teachers.  
  • The assignments are designed and monitored by the QRTA team to help the CPs transfer knowledge into practice in an online learning environment.   
  • There are observations where each participant is observed twice and receive feedback.  

 

ASSESSMENT

Participants are awarded based on the CPs’ performance in the course.
