Beneficiaries of the Social Studies Program implement a learning community

QRTA -social studies program - As part of the social studies program in Kasbah Irbid Directorate, Teacher Sahar al-Mansour, geography teacher at Safia Bint AbdulMutallab High School for Girls, hosted a learning community for a number of social studies teachers with the aim of sharing her experience in providing geography lessons through concept-based learning strategies.

The teacher presented a lesson entitled “Trade” for Tenth Graders in which she covered many learning tasks based on concept-based learning and then an exit card entitled "Postman".

It is worth mentioning that professional learning communities are an essential component of the social studies programme, whose idea is to share experiences among professional and subject colleagues in practical applications which build teachers' experiences and develop their professional skills and practices.

The meeting was attended by Professor Munir al-Omari and the school's director, Taghreed Al-Khasawneh.

Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) continues its training programs for 2022 in cooperation with the Jordanian Ministry of Education and with the support of the Canadian government, implementing pedagogy programs for numerous majors – namely Arabic, Science, English, Social Studies, and Math – as well as the Innovation in Education Program, Advanced Instructional Leadership Professional Diploma (AILPD), and Teacher Education Professional Diploma (TEPD).
